Kevin, an important thought, but we're comfortable that it won't. In retail you don't need to own your shop, and in fact by selecting and reselling goods rather than manufacturing them, you may even end up with a comfortable cashflow position (the supermarket principle), although we are not assuming this. Also, once the first shop is successful, the idea is to "bootstrap" the following stores from the first, rather than constantly looking for more funding.
We have a fully-costed plan which includes the upfront capital investment, but obviously it's not for posting here!
