The Pitch:
WOW is a fleet of solar-powered business centres “housed” in small trucks, each servicing up to 10 rural African communities per week. Helping to incubate small rural businesses, especially those providing environmentally-friendly alternatives to the use of kerosene lamps and wood fuel, can also slow the tide of urbanisation that is predicted to see 50% of Africans living in urban slums by 2025. We have sourced SME solutions and will bundle them with financing and other supportive services, including training via virtual classrooms, thus providing an environmentally-friendly, sustainable escape route from poverty for thousands within a couple of years.
