The Pitch:

Natural fibers are now emerging as a viable alternative to a lot of common materials. This is also due to the advances in natural fiber development and composite science. The depletion of petroleum resources coupled with increasing environmental regulations are acting synergically to provide the impetus for new materials and products that are compatible with the environment and independent of fossil fuel. Low cost, low density, competitive specific mechanical properties, carbon dioxide sequestration, sustainability, recyclability and biodegradability are only some of the different advantages of these new materials.
Environmentally beneficial composites can therefore be made by replacing synthetic fiber with various types of cellulose fiber.
Furniture, PC case, boat & car structures, everything could be made in natural fibers. This would reduce the CO2 emission both in the production and also in the disposal of the products themselves.
Namateco is a team of aeronautical engineers with experience in natural fiber composites. Our aim is to develop natural fiber composite products for different fields, for a more sustainable and greener world.
