Jeremy Leggett

Jeremy Leggett, CEO, Solarcentury

Jeremy Leggett spent ten years as a geologist, researching new oil sources for big oil companies, before his worries about climate change led him to become a campaigner for Greenpeace.

By 1998 he was convinced that successful green businesses were the key to cutting greenhouse gas emissions, and set up Solarcentry to promote solar energy generation in the UK. In 2008 the company was the fastest-growing UK private energy company according to the Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

It’s Jeremy’s talent for turning a passion for sustainability into a viable business that Marco needs to emulate to succeed in The Good Entrepreneur 2009.
