About: The lack of education and basic necessities among most Kenyans strengthened my resolve to make a difference to those struggling for survival in the developing world. This ignited a passion for bringing about social change, and bridging the information gap between the world's young people - I co-founded Cosmos Education Kenya at the age of 19, a youth-led organization and an affiliate of Cosmos Education, a project of the Tides Centre (Stanford University, California), that seeks to Inspire, Engage, and Empower young people to act as catalysts for development within their local communities through improved Science and Technology Education. Still focusing on youth empowerment since 2004, I worked as an intern at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi under the Children and Youth Unit where I coordinated the Tunza Youth Network among other roles as a youth worker between February and July 2008. Since October 2008, I have been an intern at Peace Child International working as the Africa Desk Coordinator and liaising between PCI and its different African affiliates as well as being an active member of the Be The Change! Youth led development team.
