Over the last couple of years, I’ve been looking for a way to reshape agriculture and regional economy in a more social, ecological and economically sustainable fashion that would include and engage the people of the respective region.

The foundation of the 'Regionalwert AG' two years ago marked the start of that reshaping process.

The dialog between shareholders as providers and companies as seekers of capital was arranged by the Citizen's Company and it makes the effect of the investment transparent.

The Citizen’s Company as a new form of enterprise for agricultural businesses does not only represent a fresh start, but ties in with the old ethics of farming, that is, capital as sustainable security of multi-dimensional prosperity.

The annual evaluation of socio-ecological achievements coupled with monetary gain will represent future wealth and prosperity.
By now, already 340 citizens have become share holders to providing 1.4 Mio. Euros for organic farming.
