BABETTE VAN GESSEL says: Sorry but although the idea of a competition between social projects is nice, its really the same as what CNBC is doing through this competition anyway, minus the donations from the voting public. There are so many charities and social projects raising money through blogs and marketing already. And the idea of involving the community in social projects has been here since the dawn of time. In South Africa the Stokvel concept is popular amongst communities who all come together to raise funds for within the community or for various projects, and there are lots of community social-banking projects already in place. Its a feel good idea but not original.
