Better Place is a leading Electric Vehicles services provider, developing infrastructure solutions for Electric Vehicles.
When Shai set up the company in 2007 he raised $200 million in investment. Business Week called it one of the largest-ever initial fundings for a startup. Shai then raised an additional $135m in 2009.
But it’s not just about raising finance. Shai has presented to some big players, including Shimon Peres and Bill Clinton, to gain political acceptance for his idea. In terms of getting buy-in for a disruptive new technology he’s the perfect mentor for Matthew.
