A 100% green electricity supplier

Energy is essential for our...

The Pitch:

Energy is essential for our daily life but we the citizens are not involved in its management.

The centralized decisions do not always consider the protection of the environment as a major priority.

ENERCOOP is a cooperative selling green electricity, created by many ecological and ethical business organisations in France.

It aims at creating local cooperatives which will invest in renewable means of production of electricity. Local citizens will be able to take part in the project by investing in the cooperative and thus collectively own a wind-turbine or another form of renewable energy.

As a result, citizens will enjoy cheap electricity which is produced locally. They will own their production sites which will not harm their environment. They will not be trapped by companies that buy electricity on the free market. If the price of oil goes up, this will have no effect on their electricity bills.
