On the short cycle we have just lived through a replay of the 1929 crash .
On the longer cycle we are on the 5th wave of a super-super cycle that started in 1630's ( South sea buble -dutch bonds buble.)
On the Long historical cycle we are living through the fall of the Roman Empire .
The values, and productive direction of society is undergoing a gigantic shift , The politicians hav't got a clue. they think it is business as usual.
Contrary to popular myth we do not live in a stable system. We live in dynamic diss-equilibrium . ( This can go on for decades leading to the view that all is stable.Former Soviet union clasic case of dynamic dissequalibrium)

We must stop seeing events as causing cycles. it is the other way round Cycles cause events .
