As A Level students across the UK find out their results and some struggle to find a place at University, should entrepreneurship be put forward as an option for them?

Is this the kind of economy we want to be nurturing new entrepreneurs in? With RDAs being replaced with LEPs, can a fledgling business find success? We've already seen from the experience of inafishbowl.com that some businesses can do very well, while others really struggle (http://inafishbowl.com/fishbowl-businesses.html) - are times just too uncertain?

What are your experiences/tips for students thinking about their future at this time?
